I have an aunt who is a diabetic. She exercises regularly to maintain her weight or to
lose weight safely. So, what should you do if you're a diabetic and you still want to exercise? According to studies, exercise and workouts do not really affect a diabetic's health. Although, sometimes there are risks but they're not so dangerous and bad. If you want to start an exercise routine, make sure that you're also ingesting the proper amount of food. You should also be aware of your sugar intake.
Before planning or beginning your exercise routine, you have to check with your doctor first. You can't just start a
strenuous workout activity without your doctor's consent. You should ask what the proper exercise for you. Before you begin your exercise, it's a must that you check your
blood sugar level. That way, you won't faint in the middle of your exercise routine.
You should also check it after your workout. It's also important that you wear protective shoes and socks. This would prevent you from getting blisters. Before you start your exercise, you have to drink a generous amount of water. Fluid intake is very important before, during, and after an exercise. Lastly, bring some extra snacks so if ever your blood sugar level drops, you'll have something to energize you.
